Olympic Death March
Sunday is the day of the Olympic Death March.
It is a hike up in the Olympics.
The best route is to take the Edmonds Fairy and drive up 101.
Then, at Sol Duc, the drive begins into the National Park.
Old Growth Forests, waterfalls, and eventually, ancient Indian burial grounds, which Justin will no doubt spoil with urine.
We begin early..

..pending weather!
HA! It isn't even a question whether I'd defile a dead indian! Hell, look at Randy's Grandma!
Sol Duc is a hella good area. Very nice choice. It's a baddass drive, too. We're going to have to start early.
I'll keep an eye on the weather. I'll look out my window every day.
Who else is in?
I promised Brea I would go fuking car shopping (yeah....). I'll try to get her to go on Saturday and we'll probably be there
That means we have room for 1 more person, depending on who's car we are taking.
Yeah, we'll start early early. I'm thinking around the ballpark of 9:00 am. I expect the drive up to the grounds to be like 3 hours.
Funny video.
What about events for the day? I have no idea where my mini-bbq went. Should we bring sammiches? We are hiking...should we bring beer or just water?
My car can fit four comfortably, 5 squeezed. I could have a lot of fun dipping down those thin, windy roads. (windy not windy...not wind...not air moving due to pressure changes in the atmosphere).
Did you have an idea for what trail, or just head up the road and look for trailhead signs?
Yeah, I have a great idea of which trail to hike. I can't remember hte name of it now but saw it yesterday. There is a waterfall about 1 mile from the beginning of the hike, then another about 3-5 miles in. Plus river crossings along the way.
Bringing sammiches would be ideal - I wouldn't wanna lug around a bbq for the hike, but we could have one before or after if it fits in the trunk.
And yes, I think beer AND water both would be nice for the hike. I wouldn't want to drink the entire hike, but having a beer for milestones on the hike are always rewarding and relaxing.
It all sounds like a good plan...
Mayhem, Ear/rectile, I think we are the only ones who even look at this blog...

Ya, I am down for the march.
http://obsidianwings.blogs.com/obsidian_wings/2007/05/awwwww.html If flamingos can do alan and jeff have a chance after all. RAINBOW POWER!!!
flaming flamingos. It was evident in the naming of these creatures, that they would one day be ghey.
More plan elaboration. We meet at Earectile's house and from there, drive to the Edmonds fairy (trying to catch 9:00 or 9:30 AM ferry)
What about all the rain that we're supposedly going to get this wekend?
Partly Cloudy on Sunday. It looks riskay!
God damn, I'm gone for two weeks and the weather kicks ass. Now I am back in washington and the weather SUCKS ass. Fucking bullshit I need my sun.
BTW Earectile I left an offensive picture on your comments on myspace.
Yea, I checked the weather today for that area. 30% chance of rain on Sunday. Put it off for a week? Drink instead?
Damn! Hulk Hogan is a Terrorist! Wait...Did you put Hogan because of the similarity of my name? I'll put a picture of a big Waner on your profile jizzing the towers over!
Put yer waner on the towers!
hahahahahhahah, a big waner breaking towers. That's great.
No, the Hogan has no refernce to your name, it is entirely a coincidence!
Although you may now be called Hulk Hogue or Justin Hogan every now and then now that you mention it.
